Inspired by the Koru design representing continual motion, time unfolding, new beginnings, peace and abundance.

Te Pōāio and Te Aoāio are the calm darkness and light. Filmed on Courtenay Place sitting beside the light boxes with the camera pointing towards the sunlight filtered through the tree leaves. This work acknowledges the community of Te Aro.

It is a karakia offered with gratitude to the welcome received and for people from all walks of life who visit this place.

Filmed during Māwharu cycle of the maramataka this is a most favourable day for planting food. Kumara are very large. A good day for fishing, and a good night for trapping crayfish and eels.
